Mike is a second career funeral director. After spending over 20 years in the paper industry, concluding in Old Town in April, 2003, Mike pursued a career in the medical field, while working part time in the funeral industry as an attendant. During his training as a Surgical Technician, Mike soon realized that his calling was more to care for grieving families than it was to work in the Operating Room. He finished his formal education at New England Institute in Newton, MA in December of 2009, graduating summa cum laude, and also passed the National Board Exam in December, 2009, becoming a fully licensed funeral director in March, 2011. He doesn't have a lot of spare time but enjoys just being outdoors enjoying God's creation. Mike has been married to Judy for 34 years and they have two children, Sara, and her husband Todd, who live in Bangor, and Mike Jr., who lives in Brewer. Mike looks forward to serving the people in the Katahdin region.
